Chris & Marcelle

Chris and Marcelle are no strangers to refurbishing; in fact, their last home was a full renovation of a two-level Teneriffe Woolstore. After selling that home they decided to enjoy an extended overseas holiday but opted to buy a Dwell skyhome before their departure. Chris & Marcelle loved the idea of collaboratively working with Dibcorp as a builder-developer since Franco’s genuine offer of “create and customise” was aligned with theirs. “We had a dozen or more visits to our apartment during the build period. We even made 3 or 4 changes to the kitchen design after the final plans were originally agreed”. Entering the apartment, there’s warmth of colour from within and blue skies beyond and it is easy to understand the embrace of textures. A built-in plinth sits proudly within the entry. A full-length wall of repeating golden orbs ringed in silver on a rich creamy background is a contemporary wallpaper installation. Having made alterations to all rooms, the most substantial change was the kitchen layout. The result has been to achieve a home tailored to suit their personality.
